About Me
Hi, I'm Kate, a UX & Product Designer with a background in content design, SEO, and project management.
My path into design
My path into design started with words: SEO, content design, and communications for international brands. Over time, I found myself drawn more to the visual design of content, how interfaces guide behaviour, and how good design facilitates communication.
What I'm good at
-
Thinking across disciplines: content, UX, product, and tech
-
Managing messy projects calmly and clearly
-
Translating business needs and user goals into interface logic
-
Making decisions that centre clarity, empathy, and usefulness
-
Solving problems - complex UX or product challenges need creative solutions and that's where I excel
Tools & ways I work
I work with Figma, AdobeXD, Asana, whiteboards, spreadsheets, interviews, research, and collaborative teams. I'm just as happy sketching wireframes as I am mapping a user flow in a Google Sheet or turning vague requirements into ticketable tasks.
I'm fluent in German and French, love organising chaos, and naturally take on cross-functional roles from content design to product coordination to UX thinking.
What matters to me
I care about work that’s purposeful, inclusive, and socially or environmentally meaningful. I’m most energised when I’m collaborating with thoughtful people on projects that simplify, clarify, or uplift.
Right now
I'm based in the UK and open to part-time, freelance, or project-based roles in UX, content design, or digital strategy. I’d love to work with teams in areas like sustainability, education, culture, journalism, or public service, but I’m also open to unexpected opportunities that feel right. If you're building something you believe in and want someone who can help make it clearer, smoother, and more human, I'd love to talk. CV available on request.
